Who we are
Principal Lens is a lawyer led legal advisory practice offering DPDP Compliance & Data Governance services and Contract Review & Management services.
Engagement gate
No paid engagement begins until a basic conflict check is completed and a signed engagement letter or scope of work, stating fee, deliverable, and turnaround, has been accepted. Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice until a formal engagement is in place.
Fees and payment
The fee for each engagement is stated in its engagement letter. We do not take card or other online payments. You pay by bank transfer or UPI to the account shown in your engagement letter and on your signed in dashboard, quoting your matter reference. We never send or change our bank details by email; if you receive different details, call us before paying. Work begins once we confirm that your payment has reached us. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Free and automated tools
Free tools (such as our Readiness Quiz, Coverage Quiz, or Contract Risk Quick Check) produce automated, instant output. This output is clearly not lawyer reviewed advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal advice.
Service levels
Paid, lawyer reviewed engagements carry a 3 to 5 business day turnaround after complete information, payment, and any required evidence has been received. This clock starts upon completeness, not upon submission. Implementation and large programme work is scoped individually at the time of engagement.
Document and contract ownership
Once a document or contract we produce for you is approved and delivered, you own that final delivered document. We retain ownership of the underlying master template, structure, and methodology used to generate it, and reserve the right to reuse that template structure for other clients.
Role of AI
AI assistance is used only as an aid to our lawyers in preparing analysis and research. It never independently issues legal conclusions, certifications, or final contract clauses. A qualified lawyer reviews and confirms all material output before it reaches you.
No guarantee of outcome
Nothing on this website or in any report constitutes a certification of legal compliance, a guarantee of regulatory outcome, or a substitute for ongoing legal monitoring of your obligations.
Contract Retainer
A Contract Retainer runs month by month from the date in your retainer letter. The monthly fee is payable in advance for each month, by bank transfer or UPI, quoting that month's reference shown on your dashboard.
Each month covers review of up to the number of contracts in your tier. Unused contracts do not carry over. A contract beyond the allowance is reviewed only if you agree a one off fee or agree that it counts in the next month.
If a month's fee has not reached us within 7 days of the month starting, we pause new contracts until it does. Either of us may change the tier or end the retainer from the start of a month by notice given at least 7 days before that month begins.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
